Public events

Please note that ticket purchases are a firm commitment to attend the public experience. 

REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED ONCE THE TICKET IS PURCHASED

Tickets are transferable and can be transferred to another person. Simply provide the name of the original purchaser upon check-in at the door. No additional fees will apply. Rescheduling or any change to the reservation must be requested AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED EVENT, otherwise, you will forfeit your tickets and new tickets will need to be purchased. A $15 fee will be applied to each rescheduled ticket. Please note that groups larger than 10 are not allowed for public events. All participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Every participant should arrive 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO START TIME. The experience begins exactly at the scheduled start time - Guests who arrive 10 minutes after the scheduled start time will NOT be allowed to participate in the experience. NO EXCEPTIONS. Guests will forfeit that experience and will need to purchase new tickets for a later date.

Once the immersive experience starts, late guests are extremely disruptive to all participating guests and will not be allowed in.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling or any change to the reservation must be requested AT LEAST 2 HOURS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED EVENT, otherwise, you will forfeit your tickets and new tickets would need to be purchased. A $15 fee will be applied to each rescheduled ticket. All rescheduling requests must be submitted to tickets@unarthodox.com. Please have the date you would like to reschedule in your request. You are only allowed to reschedule once. All experiences must be rescheduled to a date no later than 30 days from the originally scheduled event. Any accumulated credit will be forfeited if the experience is not scheduled within those 30 days. Please provide a new date from our public calendar when requesting a reschedule.

Cancellation

In the event of inclement weather, such as severe snow or rain conditions, it is the discretion of Unarthodox on whether or not to cancel the scheduled Event. If the event is canceled due to bad weather conditions, a credit will be applied for any future events. No refunds are issued. All credits must be used within 30 days of the originally scheduled event. Unarthodox does not provide credit for guests who do not show up due to weather conditions if the Event is not canceled. Unarthodox will notify all public scheduled guests if an Event is canceled due to weather.

If Unarthodox has to cancel an event due to any other reason besides weather-related, Unarthodox will refund the entire amount to the purchaser.

Please note that the sculptures in Sculpture Without Sight are NOT taken home as they are only intended to be used as a tool in your exploration of the sense of touch. Clay heads are not available for sale.

Photo and Video

Unarthodox will take photos throughout the public event and provide the attending guests with a private link with all of the photos taken. These photos may occasionally be used for Unarthodox advertising and promotional purposes, including external media sources. In the event that you do not want your photograph taken, please advise staff at the beginning of the experience. The taking of photos and video clips by guests is allowed, however, the filming of the entire or large portions of the event is strictly prohibited.

Special Requests

Our facility is wheelchair-friendly with a large elevator. Restrooms are also wheelchair accessible. Any special requirements, please notify us and we will try to accommodate them. If you wish to be seated together with another party registered separately, please send your request to info@unarthodox.com and include that party’s name.

All participants must be 18 years of age or older. No liquor is allowed on the premises. Unarthodox is not responsible for any damaged, lost, or stolen personal property. Any items that are left behind, such as coats, will be kept for a period of 30 days before they are donated. Our facility is monitored 24 hours a day by closed-captioned T.V.


Private and Corporate events

Payment

Once an invoice is issued, the Organizer must pay the minimum requirement of $600 - $750 deposit to reserve a requested date and time. The remaining balance is due 5 days prior to the scheduled Event.

Cancellation/Rescheduling

The Organizer may cancel the Event by providing notice to Unarthodox fifteen (15) days or more before the Event's scheduled date. In such an event, Unarthodox shall refund the Organizer the full amount of the paid deposit. In the event that the Organizer cancels the Event less than fifteen (15) days from the scheduled Event date, Unarthodox reserves the right to retain the full deposit.

Private parties can be rescheduled up to 5 days prior to the scheduled date. A $150 fee will apply to all rescheduled parties. If the Organizer does not reschedule the Event 5 days or more prior to the scheduled Event date, the Organizer forfeits the ability to reschedule the event and will lose their deposit. Final payment for the Event and any catering services is due 5 days prior to the Event. All Events must be rescheduled within 30 days of the original request date. All credits will be forfeited if The Event is not rescheduled within the 30-day time of the originally scheduled date.

In the event that any one individual member of a party cannot attend the Event, refunds will NOT be issued if the change is not made within 15 days of the scheduled date - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Only credit for future Events will be issued if the change is made 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the scheduled Event. NO REFUNDS. Credit DOES NOT apply to catering and beverage package orders. Credit can only be used for future private events within 90 days of the originally scheduled event. A maximum credit of 5 guests will be given as long as the required minimum of 10 guests is maintained for the rescheduled Event. The final headcount should be given 24 hours prior to the Event. If additional guests need to be added, a revised invoice will be issued by Unarthodox.

It is the discretion of Unarthodox to reschedule private parties after the 5 day period. Unarthodox is not liable for issuing refunds in the unfortunate case of sickness (including COVID) or injury if the cancellation of the Event is made within 15 days from the scheduled date.  In the event of inclement weather, such as severe snow or rain conditions, it is the discretion of Unarthodox whether or not to reschedule or cancel the Event. A rescheduling fee will not be charged if the change is made by Unarthodox. Unarthodox shall have the right to cancel the Event at any time prior to the event date, provided it gives the Organizer prior written notice of cancelation. If Unarthodox cancels the Event for reasons other than nonpayment or breach of the agreement by the Organizer, Unarthodox will reschedule the Event or refund the organizer the full amount paid, at the Organizer’s sole direction.

Unless otherwise agreed by the parties in writing (email acceptable), all rescheduled Events must be scheduled to take place within 60 days of the original Event date, and the Organizer will lose any credit or deposit if the Event is not scheduled to take place within 60 days of the original Event date.

Catering

Unarthodox offers full catering services, which includes all of the set-up, food management as well as clean-up. All catering orders must be paid in full no later than 5 business days in advance. No refund or credit is given to any catering order changes made 5 days or less prior to the event. Any items added to an existing catering order must be made 2 full business days prior to the event. Unarthodox does not offer Kosher Catering. A $150 catering fee will apply in the event that the client supplies their own Kosher catering. No other outside food is allowed. All food preparation is performed off-site by licensed corporate caterers.

Unarthodox will be responsible for all of the cleaning including but not limited to mopping and clearing all trash generated at the event. All garbage, including food, will be disposed of in the proper containers in accordance with the New York City Department of Sanitation.

Photo/Video

Unarthodox holds the right to take photos and videos during public and private experiences for the purpose of providing clients with an editing complimentary video of the experience. The short video created for each experience is not posted publicly. The Organizer will receive a private link to a YouTube video and only those with this link will be able to view it. The photos, including any photographs or video recordings made by Unarthodox during the Event, may be used by Unarthodox and the Organizer for their marketing which may include posting the photos along with a caption/summary of the Event on social media, internal or external websites, marketing materials and/or presentations. The taking of photo and videos by guests are allowed, however, the filming of the entire event is strictly prohibited.


Virtual Events

Basic Requirements

All virtual experiences are held via the Zoom® internet platform. It is the responsibility of the attending guest to acquire and maintain a strong internet connection during the event. Unarthodox does not provide refunds for those who lose or cannot get a connection during the event. It is strongly recommended that all guests check their connection in advance prior to logging in for the experience. Zoom® can be accessed via the internet or their downloadable free software. We suggest downloading the software as it has extended features used by our hosts. Desktops and Laptops are recommended over tablets and personal phones.

Unarthodox provides an official Zoom® link for the event and does not accept independent Zoom® personal or corporate account links. Recording of the event by participating guests is strictly prohibited.

Payment

The Organizer must pay the $500 deposit to reserve a requested date and time. The full amount is due 5 days prior to the scheduled Event. For Events that require shipping of supplies, full payment must be made prior to shipping.

In such an event, Unarthodox shall refund the Organizer the full amount of the paid deposit. Only credit for future Events will be issued if the change is made 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the changed Event. NO REFUNDS. Credit can be used for in-house, virtual, and mobile events. Credit DOES NOT apply to catering and beverage package orders if you choose the in-house option. A maximum credit of 2 guests will be given as long as the required minimum of 10 guests is maintained for the rescheduled Event. The final headcount should be given 24 hours prior to the event. If additional guests need to be added, a revised invoice will be issued by Unarthodox.

The Organizer will lose any credit or deposit if the Event is not scheduled to take place within 60 days of the originally scheduled date.

Shipping

For all virtual experiences that require shipping of supplies, full payment must be made prior to art supplies being shipped out. A time frame of two weeks is required for shipping to ensure every participant receives their package on time. Shipping costs vary depending on destination and are billed after all packages are shipped. If shipping to a hotel, please notify them (hotel) in advance as the package(s) would most likely arrive before the intended guest(s). Unarthodox is not responsible for packages that are stolen or misplaced after delivery confirmation by USPS or UPS is received. Unarthodox is not responsible for any international packages held up in customs. If a package is damaged in transit, Unarthodox will re-ship and cover the cost of shipping.

Media

Unarthodox records all virtual events for the purposes of providing the client a complimentary edited video of all of the Event highlights. A private Youtube link of the Event is provided to all participants of that specific event. Under no circumstance does Unarthodox provide this private link to any individual who was not a participant unless it is the non-participant coordinator of the Event. Unarthodox rarely uses small video clips from past events for the purposes of marketing and advertising. Any recordings used are strictly utilized by and for Unarthodox only. The privacy of our clients is paramount and we do not disclose company information nor the last names of any participant.


Mobile / Off-site events

Damages

Unarthodox is not responsible for any damage caused by an attending guest including but not limited to getting paint on the floor and furniture or damage to personal property. Unarthodox staff will remove all supplies and discard waste associated with the activity, but it is not responsible for cleaning or repairing the facility. The organizer assumes sole responsibility for loss or damage to its property.

Travel

Unarthodox charges a $3.50 fee for every mile outside of Manhattan. All bridge and road tolls will be calculated and added to the invoice prior to the event. Overnight accommodation fees may apply to any venue located 75 miles or more from our Chelsea, NYC headquarters. Fees depend on accommodation costs. An additional $400 per travel day will apply for all events requiring overnight stays.

Events requiring air travel, incur an additional $800 per day travel fee, not including airfare and accommodations. Additional travel fees include but are not limited to: Travel Time, Transportation, Staffing, Meals, Parking, and Tolls. Please see Mobile Terms and conditions for more information. For certain experiences, additional equipment fees may apply.

Unarthodox reserves the right to refuse entry to a venue that is not safe or compliant with local safety laws. In the event that a staff member’s personal safety is threatened or does not feel safe in a specific venue, Unarthodox reserves the right to terminate the experience immediately. Refunds or credit will NOT be issued in such an event.
